The hotel was really close to mountain village core and black bear pass. A huge variety restaurants to eat close by, like the village table that was only 5 minutes' walk away. Even the Telluride Regional airport was not so far.

We had a fantastic stay at this ski lodge. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make our anniversary special. The location is amazing, with breathtaking views from the rooms. The free gondola outside the hotel provides convenient access to the main village and ski slopes. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Expensive but excellent hotel. Top-notch staff and location. Beautiful anniversary card with chocolates and champagne. Tremendous service, generous room size. Gondola access for kids. Astounding views. Convenient free gondola to village and slopes. Glamorous ski lodge with all comforts.

Spent an amazing Christmas week at this lodge with my family. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always responding to our requests within minutes. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything and just steps away from the gondola and kids camp. We loved being able to take the gondola to Telluride daily and enjoyed the town, but staying in Mountain Village was definitely the way to go. The complimentary transportation to and from Montrose made our trip easy and convenient, and they even provided us with car seats. The free use of fishing poles and jogging stroller was a big hit for us, and we highly recommend visiting the stocked fishing pond in Mountain Village.
The only downside was that there was no AC in the rooms, which was a bit uncomfortable during the warm summer days. The rooms are heavily insulated and don't provide much ventilation, even with cool nighttime temperatures.

We had a fantastic stay at Franz Klammer Lodge for our anniversary. The staff was great, and the location was fantastic. The room was lovely and spacious, and the views were breathtaking. The gondola outside made it so convenient to get to the main village and ski slopes. The service was outstanding, with any request or question being immediately taken care of. We felt truly pampered and will definitely return.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
